This is Mikal

And this is Mikal

And so is this (with his family)

If we ask his three children who Mikal is, the answer is simple: Dad's weird!

If we ask his wife … well, let’s not go there.

Most importantly he sits outside of the box. He himself would say, "If anyone ever accuses me of being normal, I'm going to get very offended".

So who is he - really?

In short, he's a guy who is passionate about two things:

  1. Growth - his own and facilitating it for others

  2. Figuring out how things work - with a main focus on life and human beings

He tried a number of jobs, explored a couple of careers (banking and computers), but for the last 30 years he has followed his calling as a life coach, helping people get more life out of life, more business out of business and more love out of relationships.

He was born in Denmark but considers himself an earth citizen, not belonging to any country, culture, religion or political orientation. He has travelled to well over 50 countries, through which time he met his New Zealand wife to be.

He had a life changing experience when he was 27, which paved the way for his passion for growth and facilitating it for others.

From a super shy, withdrawn and bullied child to a confident public speaker, presenter and coach, he has learned his stuff in the real world along with investing hugely in his personal and business growth for more than 35 years.

Mikal has written four books (two published) and co-authored two with his wife (1 published). He has appeared on national TV, national radio and most national newspapers in New Zealand.

Other than this, Mikal is a husband, dad and cafe goer. And, he quite enjoys spending hours in the kitchen experimenting with food, to the delight or dismay of the family depending on what way the experiments go. Oh, by the way, he is also a barefoot runner, just to add to the weirdness. And, as you may have guessed from the picture at the top, he likes outrunning his children on the ski slopes (although with his son now a ski instructor, it’s the other way round).

If you want to know more, get in touch with the man himself. He'll happily answer questions and have a conversation about personal and business growth, whether over the phone, Zoom or face to face where possible.
